SQL Intersection Conference, Las Vegas MGM Grand 8-11 April 2013

I'll_Be_There

You might have noticed the SQL Intersection logo appearing in my recent blog posts. This is a brand new event focussed on tuning and troubleshooting the SQL Server core engine (including Windows SQL Azure Database). If you read and enjoy at least some of the things I write about, this conference is one you should seriously consider attending.

For my part, I’ll be presenting three sessions: two on Interpreting Execution Plans, and one on Parallel Query Execution. I have to promote my sessions, because just look at the other speakers you have to choose from:

SQL Speakers

As well as speaking, all these people will be around to chat to over the four conference days, and some are offering complete days of training at pre- and post-conference workshops as well.

Personally, I’m particularly excited about talking to the following people and attending their sessions:

  • Bob Ward
  • Conor Cunningham
  • Paul Randal
  • Kimberly Tripp
  • Brent Ozar
  • Kendra Little
  • Grant Fritchey
  • Joe Sack
  • Jeremiah Peschka
  • Aaron Bertrand
  • Steve Jones

Main Conference Overview

Each of the main conference days has three tracks to choose from:

The full schedule is available here as a PDF document, or you can visit the conference website for all the details.

I really hope to see you in Las Vegas – please feel free to come and talk to me about anything concerning execution plans or the query optimizer :)
