As excited as I was to announce my participation at SQL Saturday in Redmond, I am having to back out. My sister-in-law died suddenly and unexpectedly last week, and I will be flying to California for the memorial service on Saturday.
I will be sending some swag to one of the other speakers, to be given away as raffle prizes: a signed copy of my SQL Server 2008 Internals book and several copies of my DVD, which I have blogged about several times.
Hopefully, I will get a chance to speak at a Redmond User Group meeting in the not too distant future.
