I feel really guilty for writing this (there's someone with a shotgun behind me telling me that I should be doing this - if it were up to me I'd be happy speaking from a soapbox on a streetcorner). I've got a book that is finally (finally!) nearing publication on DR for SQL Server. It's going to cover 2005 and 2008.
This session is going to leverage all of that work in that book to try to scare the bejesus out of you. If you think that DR in SQL Server revolves just around backup and restore, you're in for a shock. This is a rant session for me, pointing out factual behaviour in SQL Server (or outside of it) that cause me to lose sleep at night when thinking about a disaster situation. Having actually seen a server lodged inside of a tree by a tornado, I have real-world fuel for my frequent night terrors. If you like to wake up in a panic from time to time, this is the session for you :)
